1. What We Collect

When you use Gamesoup, we collect:

• Account data — email address, username, display name, avatar, bio, and any other profile fields you fill in.
• Content you create — devlogs, project pages, comments, and images you upload.
• Usage data — pages visited, interactions (likes, follows), and timestamps, used to power feeds and analytics.
• OAuth tokens — if you sign in with Google or Discord, we receive a token and basic profile info (name, email, avatar) from that provider. We do not receive or store your password for those accounts.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, and device info collected automatically by our infrastructure provider.

2. How We Use It

• To operate the platform — serve your profile, publish your devlogs, and deliver notifications.
• To personalise your feed — show content from developers you follow.
• To provide analytics — show you stats on your own devlogs and projects.
• To enforce our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
• To improve the product — aggregate, anonymised usage data helps us understand what is and isn't working.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data to serve third-party advertisements.

3. Third-Party Services

Gamesoup is built on the following third-party infrastructure. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage. Your data is stored on Supabase's servers. Supabase Privacy Policy.
• Google OAuth — optional sign-in method. Google Privacy Policy.
• Discord OAuth — optional sign-in method. Discord Privacy Policy.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and browser storage solely to maintain your authenticated session. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile, devlogs, comments, and uploaded images are permanently deleted within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer where required by law.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@gamesoup.gg and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Children

Gamesoup is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at privacy@gamesoup.gg and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you via email or an in-app notice.
